Electric machine, engine, large air conditioning unit, hum, noise, field recording. Recording device: roland r-26 portable digital recorder. Microphone: built-in directional xy stereo microphone. Sample rate: 44100 hz. Rec format: wav 16-bit. Edited in: adobe audition (adjusted gain slightly, for a good signal level). Date and location: october 2015, a rather large air conditioning unit in a public parking garage, in sweden. A sound i initially made for scp containment breach's ambiance sounds when i had first had the zoom h6 (2019 december, i regularly sound mod old games to gain learning experience of the encoding, the resampling quality of that engine and the internals and since then i've improved in many places). The actual recording is the pressure sound of water going down its sinkhole, filtered as to "muffle" the sound due to the design being that behind a wall and catching the attention of the player likely leading to their death by scp-173 but also was done to boost its bass and it gives a sort of comfortable, releasing feel.

This is a sound of mine that i made, it's a washing machine on a fast spin, it sounds rather like an old british style diesel train at speed. I used my canon power shot a460 camera video to film the washing machine in action and simply took the sound from the video. Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. The exhaust had a rusted hole so it's not the original vespa-sound but more rough. Different styles of driving. Including starter and switching off. No sound editing was made, so maybe you like to filter away low frequencies (some little wind was behind the shield).

I made this sound on beepbox. Co right after i rode a mississauga transit (miway) nova bus lfs serving route 48 north. The nova bus lfs is a 40-foot transit bus made by nova bus manufacturer. Miway ordered several of these buses to replace the new flyer d60lfr and el dorado ez-rider buses.

Thousands of cicadas occur in endless cycles for roughly one minute, at least where i was in my backyard in san antonio, texas. At the beginning of the cycle, they truly sound like a jet with engines idling on a runway, growing louder as it maneuvers into a take-off position. After several more seconds, the soft whirring grows louder and louder for about ten seconds or so, and at the closing of the cycle crescendos into a a sustained cacophony like crickets on crack.

Airplane, atr 72 (at72) flying by towards airfield at 300 m altitude. Atr 72 is a plane much like the dh8d, a twin engined propeller plane. Recorded at a quiet location (maybe only some birds). Observing point: 300 m from the side of the flying route (one has to look up about 45 degrees for the plane). Speed: about 250 to 280 km/h. This is the recording as it is, recorded with zoom h2n music-capable voicerecorder. The mode of the voicerecorder was just the good old ordinary left-right stereo recording (xy) not such things as mid-side or 4 channel etc. No compression used. I may have edited out some sudden bird sounds or beeps from the camera but that's of negigible influence on the sound. There is a slight hiss from a row of trees in the distance. Feel free to use.
